Delete your account

You can permanently delete your CircuitProof account from the web portal or Android app. The steps below explain how and what happens to your data.

Your request is actioned from your profile or app settings

Account deletion removes your sign-in and personal account records. Some business and compliance records may need to be retained.

How to delete your account

Delete it directly in Circuit Proof

    Sign in to the portal or Android app

    Use the account you want to delete.

    Open My profile or Settings

    In the portal, select My profile & licence. In the app, select Settings.

    Select Delete account

    Review the warning and confirm the permanent deletion request.

Can’t access your account?

Email hello@circuitproof.co.nz from the address connected to your account. Use the subject “CircuitProof account deletion request”. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

Data deleted

What we remove

  • Your Firebase authentication account and ability to sign in
  • Your CircuitProof user profile and organisation membership
  • Your professional-directory listing, if you enabled matching
  • Your stored personal signature and uploaded licence document

Deletion is initiated immediately after you confirm it. Information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups are overwritten through normal operations.

Data that may be retained

Business and compliance records

Job, testing, certification, inspection, document, email-delivery, and audit records created in an organisation workspace may remain where they belong to the organisation or must be kept for legal, regulatory, safety, accounting, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes.

Where practical, retained records will no longer be connected to an active user account. Retention depends on the type of record and the applicable legal or organisational requirement. Once no longer required, records are deleted or anonymised.

Before you delete

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you need copies of your compliance records, export them before deleting your account or ask your organisation administrator for access.
